A few years ago, Sony introduced the first LinkBuds in India. I appreciated their unique design, which offered an alternative to traditional in-ear TWS earbuds by allowing users to stay aware of their surroundings. However, I was uncertain about their reception in India due to their high price and niche target audience.

Evidently, Sony found some promise in the concept, as we now have the next-generation Sony LinkBuds Open WF-L910. These earbuds retain the innovative design, compact form factor, and add some impressive new features along with a respectable on-paper battery life.

For comparison, the Sennheiser Momentum TW 4 and Samsung Galaxy Buds 3 Pro are both available for less, and you can grab the Sony WF-1000XM5 for just Rs 3,000 more on Amazon. So, are they worth it? That depends—these earbuds cater to a specific audience.

Design and Fit
The standout feature of the Sony LinkBuds Open WF-L910 is their distinctive design. Their donut-shaped structure allows ambient noise to pass through, ensuring you stay aware of your surroundings. Whether it’s the sound of a cyclist zipping by or the barista calling your name at a coffee shop, you can hear it all while enjoying your favorite music.

The earbuds are housed in a compact, square-shaped case with a two-tone design—glossy on the top and matte on the bottom. While the case doesn’t exude premium quality and feels a bit underwhelming for the price, it is lightweight and pocket-friendly. Additionally, it features a pairing button for easy connectivity.
